I am a doula because I want to empower women to believe in themselves
and their innate strength as women and as mothers.
PREGNANCY SUPPORT
A free consultation, in person or online, will allow us to get to know each other, we can then decide if the relationship will be a good fit for your hopes and goals. An additional in-person session between 30-34 weeks, will give us another opportunity to talk about your birth plan. Throughout the course of your pregnancy, I will be available via phone or email to answer questions, give encouragement, makes plans, and receive updates.
LABOR & BIRTH
As a labor support doula, I will provide continuous support throughout your labor and birth. In hospital, birth center or at home. I will be present to attend to the needs of you and your partner. Help to facilitate your birth plan, take photos, send updates to family and friends, create an atmosphere of peace. After the birth, I will stay to make sure that you are hydrated, nourished with good food, resting comfortably and that your immediate needs are met, including breastfeeding support.
POSTPARTUM SUPPORT
For Parents: I will assist with postpartum adjustment, breastfeeding support, healthy food choices, parent-infant bonding. I will provide healthy, practical care tips to help you trust your intuition in meeting your baby’s needs. And instill a comfortable atmosphere as a mindful presence in your home to help you during this amazing and often exhausting new time.
For Baby: Bathing, diapering, soothing and swaddling, Babywearing, feeding, overall care and support.
As Your Doula: I am here to nurture and be present to your needs, easing the transition into parenthood, assuring you have a good start, helping care for your newborn with mindful, non-judgmental support.
