My favorite part of celebrations is dessert making choose a special dessert that you enjoy and make it for everyone. I like to make chocolate cream pie you can make a gluten-free crust and add less sugar to any recipe you find.
TIP, If you are planning on indulging in sweets this Thanksgiving why not spend this week eating a low sugar high vegetable and protein diet? This way when you indulge in the pecan pie it won’t throw you over the edge…or it might…maybe go with an apple crisp or pumpkin pie.
Keeping hydrated is an important part of staying healthy. Water promotes cardiovascular health, keeps your body cool, helps muscles and joints work better, and keeps skin supple.
Here is this week’s hydration recipe:
Ginger Lemon Water
1 small ginger root, peeled
1 lemon, sliced
Add ginger root and lemon to a pitcher of water. Chill and enjoy. If you like a warm cuppa add the lemon and sliced or grated ginger to a cup and cover with hot water ( like you would use for tea) let steep for 10 min and enjoy as a morning drink.
